With the advent of spring, many people may just want to switch their wall mounted boiler to summer mode when it comes to this season. However, after the heating of the wall mounted boiler is stopped, it still needs to be maintained. Only with good maintenance can the service life of the wall mounted boiler be longer. Wall-mounted boiler is a complex equipment that integrates water, electricity, and gas. After a long time of operation, carbon deposits, scale, and other impurities formed due to water quality, electrical circuits, and other reasons can easily affect the comfort of heating and the temperature of domestic hot water. The following steps need to be done for a wall mounted boiler in summer:

1、 Winter mode switching

When using gas wall mounted boilers in summer, it is necessary to turn off the heating function of the wall mounted boilers and enter summer mode. The gas wall mounted boiler has two working modes: winter and summer. The winter mode provides both heating and hot water functions, while the summer mode prohibits heating and only provides domestic hot water.

2、 Maintain the heating system full of water

When entering summer mode, do not drain water from the system and keep the water pressure at a normal state (1-2bar). First, full water maintenance can reduce the oxygen content of the system and prevent oxygen corrosion. Second, it can reduce the scale generated by re watering and extend the service life of the equipment.

3、 The water temperature should not be set too high

When using a wall mounted furnace in spring and summer, the temperature of the hot water in the wall mounted furnace should not be set too high, just keep it at about 45 degrees. Excessive water temperature for a long time can easily generate scale, affecting the service life of the wall mounted furnace. The water pipes that convey hot water are prone to aging and damage due to long-term alternating transmission of cold water and hot water.

4、 The hot water faucet should not be opened frequently

During the bathing process, try to reduce the number of times the faucet is turned on and off. As each time the hot water faucet is turned on and off, the wall mounted furnace will have to be restarted, which not only wastes a large amount of cold water in vain during this period, but also affects the service life of the components; At the same time, frequent switching on and off of faucets will also increase the amount of gas used.

5、 Cleaning of wall mounted furnaces

When cleaning the wall hanging furnace, first clean the outer wall, wipe the outer wall of the wall hanging furnace with a clean cloth, and it is best to use dust-proof materials to shield the equipment to reduce dust damage to the equipment. Water can also be changed to clean the gas wall mounted boiler, which can be operated in the following ways (PS: It is best to choose machine washing for water change cleaning, and professional operators can be invited to come and clean it):

1) Open the water make-up valve and close it when the pressure is increased to 2 bar (the pressure should not exceed 3);

2) Open the water outlet valve of the last set of radiators (or floor heating water outlet valve), and dirty water in the system will flow out;

3) After the dirty water flows clean, close the water outlet valve, and open the water inlet switch for a second time to pressurize to 2 bar or 3 bar;

4) Repeatedly discharge and add water several times, and the first step of flushing is completed. Finally, open the outlet valve and inlet valve simultaneously until they are thoroughly flushed;

5) After flushing, add fresh softened water and pressurize to 1.2 bar.

Note:

The cleaning and maintenance of the heating system must be carried out by professional after-sales or formal HVAC/comfort company personnel, as in addition to necessary cleaning, some professional tests on safety performance and other aspects are also required to ensure a safe and comfortable heating experience in the future!
